Position Available: Sales Engineer

Department: Sales Department

 

This position requires an experienced and dynamic sales professional to develop and grow our current customer base.  The ideal candidate will be an organized, hard working, self starter with ability to work independently to achieve sales team goals.  Individual must have a proven track record in sales and business development.  This candidate will actively sell new and used equipment to the food & beverage and consumer products industries.  In addition, this position requires selling value added services (rebuilds, installation, and start up services) to clients in both domestic and international markets, for more information please contact us

 

Responsibilities:
Contact and created customers/ prospects   

Attend monthly outlook meeting, and provide a bi-weekly pipeline report.

Assist sales team and sell equipment and projects for Intech Enterprises, Inc.

Provide a structured agenda for Sales meetings and email to sales team prior to sales meeting.  Meetings will need to take place once per week on Monday mornings at 11 am.  This meeting will cover current projects, potential orders and accounts receivables.  This meeting will be one hour, with 20 minutes given for each topic.  Notes from each meeting will be distributed to all members of the sales team.

Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.

Travels through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers on sales floor or by phone

Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features.

Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules

Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.

Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database

Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.

Attends trade shows.

Create and follow up customer quotes as necessary

Comply with the sales department and Intech procedures

Skills:

Solid project management skills, i.e.; planning, scheduling, reporting
Mechanical aptitude, (practical application of Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering education)
Familiarity of general manufacturing processes, i.e.; flow, and capacity planning
Computer skills including MS Office, ACT and CAD/CAM
Knowledge of Managerial Accounting and Financial Analysis

Availability to travel up to 50%of the time

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, equivalent experience will be considered.

Position Available: Field Service Engineer

Department: Technical Support 

 

This position plans and coordinates activities concerned with installing equipment, investigating and resolving customer reports of technical problems with equipment, and eliminating future operational or service difficulties.

 

Responsibilities:

Installs new or modified equipment at customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications

Reviews performance reports and documentation from customers and field representatives, and inspects malfunctioning or damaged product to determine nature and scope of problem.

Analyzes review and inspection findings to determine source of problem, and recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action.

Coordinates problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs

Provides on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment.

Maintains records of performance reports

Analyzes reports of technical problems to determine trends affecting future design, production, service, and maintenance processes, and recommends modifications to eliminate future problems.

Develops service handbooks and bulletins based on field investigations, engineering changes, and overall knowledge of product

Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer

Develops and conducts training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrates skills to trainees, including both team members and customers

 

Skills:

Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations 

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

Ability to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws

Ability to apply concepts of basic Math, algebra and geometry

Computer skills including MS Office, ACT and CAD/CAM

PLC Controls certificate or equivalent experience

Fluid Dynamics

Proficient welding

Familiar with at least one of the following programs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Rockwell Automation, Indramat)

 Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, equivalent experience will be considered.
3-5 years experience with food processing & packaging equipment will be a plus
